Merry Christmas 2008

Just a few pictures of our Very Merry Christmas...

Going to celebrate Christmas with Brads family.
We got to his parents house around 8:30am and his Grandpa Gibbs was there to watch the opening of presents which him and Betty do every year.
Beth and Paul finally showed up around 9 and when they did it was time to open presents. Well Brad and I were told we had to go first so Gretchen handed Brad a card and told him to read it out loud. So he opens the card and started to read the card and Gretchen said "not the card the note" so this is what Brad read out loud...
It's the first Christmas season
And the family will sing...
we're so happy Brad finally gave
Amy a ring!
Now the two become one
On some special day next year,
For a wedding you'll plan
To bring all fun and cheer.
So on this special Christmas
Let togetherness be your theme
As you work with on another
To find your big present as a team.
Let love be your guide
As you follow the clues,
For this present I know
You both want and can use.
Go first to the room
Where mirrors were broken
And look on a uniform where
The next clue will be spoken.
So we were off to the wreck room which is upstairs and there in the closet was another clue
Proceed to the place
where washing is done.
Your next clue will be hiding
Up above everyone.
Back down stairs to the laundry room and on top of the vanity was yet another clue
The next place you need look
is where a loved on does snooze.
The doll's innocent gaze
will show you the direction to use.
Yes back up stairs to their bed room where a doll in the room is looking at the dresser where the next clue is sitting
Brad used to call this person
"Jophes," how sweet!
Your next clue will be hiding
right under his feet.
Josephs is in the nativity seen and under his feet was our next clue
You're on the right track,
the next place you will go
is where once you did rest,
where Mom now does sew.
So, once again we run upstairs to Brads old bedroom and another clue is sitting on the sewing machine.
You're almost done,
so pay attention once more.
Look under a blanket
next to the back door.
We look at each other and sprinted down the stairs to the back room where sitting on the floor was our Christmas gift from Mike and Gretchen...
Look below and you will see. Brad and i were speechless and so excited.
This is our 42' flat screen TV!
It fits perfectly on our stand...

Sports Center was on already!

Thank You Mike and Gretchen we LOVE it...

I don't have any pictures yet of what my parents got us, it just completed our perfect Christmas. We got the bedding outfit that we wanted and is it amazing. I cannot wait to get everything done to get pictures on here, it's going to look awesome. Thank you Mom and Dad, we missed you today but will see you soon.

Christmas Cards will be late

So, after several attempts of getting that prefect picture for our greeting cards this year we have decide to have someone take the picture for us because every time i got up to set the timer on the camera one of the dogs would follow me. So I'm adding all the pictures on here so you can laugh like we did or "I" did...

Not to bad for the first one, but keep on looking...

Brystal followed me this time and i couldn't get her back in time

Trying not to laugh, Brad was getting so mad...

Not sure what Brystal was looking at

again, Brystal not wanting her picture taken

Look how good Saybel is being, Brystal had to move
I have Saybel by the tale here, i threw her treat to soon and when she took off i grabbed

After this picture is when Brad decided to have someone take it for us!

I have to say it took us by surprise that Brystal was the one being bad.

First time lookers

So on the 16th i went over to Terri's to see the girls and of course look at my planner and at dresses. We were sitting there and after about maybe 15mins, Terri looks at me with these huge eyes and says "Your trying on my wedding dress" runs and gets it along with her shoes, Vail, necklace and earrings and had me put it on. She has me striking a pose to figure out my best side:) and to just have some fun. When I saw myself in the pictures Terri was taking i about lost it, it really set in, I'm going to be a beautiful bride to an amazing man. After our "moment" we continued to look for the perfect dress. We found a few that we thought would look good so when we go shopping we will know where to start and ntil then i will keep looking.
Terri has the pictures, as soon as i get them i will post a few.

Bag of Goodies

Brad proposed to me on Saturday the 13th and guess who shows up at my work the next day with a bag of goodies for me... Terri Jo. When i showed her my ring we both started crying right in the middle of Bath and Body Works so we went for a walk and told her how it happened. She then gave me the bag and and inside was my Wedding Planner and first bridal magazine. She is so excited about Brad and I being engaged she couldn't wait one day to give me a planner! Thank you so much Terri Jo, I love you and can't wait to start planning (just need to set that date)

Technical Malfunction

I had to start our blog over because whenever i tried to sign in to edit or add a new post it was taking me to the "Gibbs Family Blog" which Brad joined over the summer using the same e-mail as i did to creat our blog. Long story short i hope i have fixed the issues and you can now post comments if you wish.

Our last supper as "Boyfriend and Girlfriend"

My niece Nova sent me this paper person with her picture on it and asked me to take "her" around and get photos of us in my day to day activities. This was taken at Frickers on Saturday night.

When I got home from work on Saturday (Dec 13) we decided to go get something to eat and Brad chose Frickers... The drive there and back was pretty quiet, I tried to make small talk but Brad was just in another world and all he would say was "oh yeah", "oh", "really"...Well we were asked that night to go play board games with our friends Amber and Zack. I asked Brad what he told them for the reason why we weren't going to make it over, and his reply was, "I told them the fights started early." I just looked at him and thought "The fights start early?? They never start early... and what a dumb excuse to give cause they could find out when the fights started; what was he thinking" and I just left it at that...

well... I had to pee so bad that when Brad put the car in park I ran inside to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom I rounded the corner to find Brad swaying back and forth in front of the Christmas Tree with no other lights on, but the tree's. I stopped and asked "what are you doing" and after a long pause and him still swaying he says "What if i got you an early Christmas present, would you want it." I replied "Well I hate surprises so what is it?" and after an even longer pause (and him still swaying) he asked me to come over to him, I asked him again what was going on and why he was standing in the dark with just the tree on and he just told me to come over to him. So i slowly walked up to him and he grabbed my hands and said after another long pause and yes him still swaying "You know why we went to Frickers, right; that's where we had our first date" I get out "uh huh" "And you know how much I love you right" he asked and I again asked him what was going on and that's when he dropped to his knee while taking a box out of his pocket and while opening the box he asked "Amy, will you marry me" and i said "Are you kidding me, your jocking right" and Brad says again "Amy, will you marry me" and i grabbed him around the neck and said "well of course, YES!" and he hugged and kissed, i was in complete shock, i couldn't stop looking at my beautiful ring that Brad gave me, he did such a wonderful job with it all. It really hit me hard when we were sitting on the couch latter that night when Brad turns to me and says "Your my fiancee" and all i could do was smile and say "yes i am".

Here we go...

Testing, testing, 123 this is Amy and I'm a first time "blogger!" I was recently engaged to Brad and have decided to log our journey. I have no idea what I'm doing or where this blog will even end up... So, I'm going to "publish" this and see what happens.
